Research overview

My research examines the spatial dimensions of health systems, infrastructure, and development, with a particular focus on sub-Saharan Africa. I use geospatial analysis, survey data, and impact evaluation methods to study how access to energy, health facility infrastructure, and other place-based resources shape health service availability and population health outcomes.

Much of my current work focuses on health facility electrification, vaccine cold chains, immunization services, and the role of solar energy in strengthening health systems. I am also interested in broader questions at the intersection of health geography, energy access, development, and spatial inequality.
